The Role
As a Mobile Engineer, you will play a vital role in maintaining and servicing their fleet of Cherry Pickers, Scissor Lifts and other access platforms. You will be based out of the depot but work will be both on-site and at customer locations nationwide.
This is a hands on role that requires a strong technical background, a focus on safety, and the ability to deliver excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned maintenance, inspections, and repairs on powered access equipment (including cherry pickers, scissor lifts, and other equipment)
- Fault diagnosis and repairs.
- Complying with health and safety standards and industry regulations.
- Keeping accurate service records and documentation.
- Representing the company professionally at all times.
- Attending breakdowns and providing responsive on-site support to customers
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as a Mobile Engineer, Service Engineer, Plant Fitter - ideally within the powered access or hire industry.
- Valid IPAF Licence and CAP qualification
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault finding skills
- A full, clean, UK driving licence
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
- Customer first attitude
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Additional experience with plant machinery, hydraulics or diesel engines.
- Flexibility to work overtime when required.
Salary
- Competitive starting salary ranging from £35,000 to £45,000 per year - Depending on Experience and qualifications.
